PROGRAMME MANAGER FOR PERSON CENTREDNESS & COMMUNITY INCLUSION

THE ORGANISATION
Stewarts Care is a voluntary organisation providing comprehensive
community based services to people with an intellectual disability. We
support people with a wide range of support needs across residential
settings, day services, supported independent living, job advocacy and
vocational training. The successful candidate will gain valuable
experience supporting people with a wide variety of needs, further
developing their skillset. Stewarts Care is a dynamic and progressive
organisation, and are seeking a driven, ambitious and focused person
to advocate for and support service users.
PURPOSE OF THE POST
Reporting to the Director of Care ? Day Services, the post holder
will work across Stewarts Care Day Services to further develop the
vision and policies for Person-Centredness. The successful candidate
will have responsibility for providing managerial and professional
leadership in Person-Centredness and Community Inclusion, influencing
future service delivery and development.
In line with best practice, using a Person-Centred approach and, in
accordance with New Directions Standards, this role will lead related
projects, research and change initiatives. The post holder will
contribute to the strategic direction of Day Services, being
accountable for the delivery and standards of support provided to day
attendees, using a Person-Centred approach.
TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POST APPLICANTS MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
* Have successfully completed a degree (Honours) in social care,
social sciences, nursing, or Training & Education discipline is
essential.
* A Masters qualification in a healthcare, social science or
business discipline is essential.
* A PHD is desirable.
* A minimum of eight years? experience working in the field of
intellectual disability services is desirable.
* Proven experience leading person-centredness and innovation in a
leadership role.
* Project management experience.
* Experience in the conduct of funded research including writing of
reports and manuscripts for publication
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
* In-depth knowledge of the New Directions (Interim) Standards and
knowledge of the HSE National Framework for Person Centred Framework
in the Service.
* Ability to build effective relationships with both internal and
external stakeholders, including staff, families, HSE etc.
* The person should have excellent verbal and written communication
skills, demonstrate an affinity with person-centred planning.
* Displays evidence of a high level of competency in Microsoft
Office, in particular Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Microsoft Outlook and
Virtual Learning Platforms.
Salary and qualifications are in accordance with HSE consolidated pay
